Business Intelligence and SharePoint

Good news for all SharePoint-ers out there. Microsoft has made PerformancePoint 2007 a part of SharePoint (Enterprise CAL only and available to customers who are on SharePoint SA).

There are heaps of blogs posts our there celebrating the announcement. This is exciting news indeed, looks like PerformancePoint may just come with the next version of SharePoint in the form of a service (Eg: Form Services & Excel Services). I most certainly can’t wait, and I guess it’s time to start reading some BI blogs as well :)

Hello Connected Systems, Goodbye Alphawest

aw  I guess being in love with SharePoint this was bound to happen sooner rather than later. On November 27th 2008 I left Alphawest. I do take with me fond memories of Alphawest, especially the Business Solutions team over there. I’ve had the opportunity to have worked with some top-notch professionals and better yet made some good friends. I would also like to thank the guys at Alphawest for giving me the opportunity into the world that I am so passionate about, SharePoint.

csg  I joined Connected Systems on January 5th 2009. It is a pleasure for me to be a part of this team. These guys are truly involved with SharePoint on a day-to-day basis. We may be a small company (only in size mind you) but we are certainly are doing exemplary work. The team is extremely focused, and we all share the same vision, furthermore we believe in ourselves and in what we can provide to our clients and the community. My gut feeling tells me, it wont be too long before I start joining in on all the fun stuff that is being done. Exciting times ahead, and I’m eagerly looking forward to it.
